Boys Track and Field

2026

The Blue Chip Conference held their boys and girls track meets over the past two evenings with field events hosted by Northeast Dubois High School Monday and running events hosted by North Knox High School on Tuesday.  Athletes, coaches and fans alike enjoyed terrific weather both days and all were provided with excellent competition to witness.

Attached are the boys team results, high point male athlete and boys who earned All-Blue Chip Conference honors.  Included as well are the event winners along with the winning times/distances/heights.

Barr-Reeve won their second boys title, repeating as champions with 155 points, edging out the second place finishes of Northeast Dubois and South Knox.  This was Barr-Reeve’s sixth Blue Chip Conference title across seven boys sports this school year (they secured the baseball championship with a 7-0 record in conference play.)  The Vikings tied for second place in soccer this past Fall.
Vincennes Rivet junior Beckitt McGuyer was a three event champion (100M, 200M and long jump) and subsequently was the high point male athlete with 30 points.

Other multi-event winners included Landon Gallagher (Barr-Reeve junior) who won the 110M high hurdles and the 300M intermediate hurdles, Paxton Traylor (BR junior) who was on the winning 4x800M relay team and won the 800M, Garrett Goller (Northeast Dubois sophomore) who was a member of the Jeeps’ winning 4x100M and 4x400M relay teams and Tryp Verkamp (NED senior) who was the 400M winner and also was on the 4×400 relay team.

2025

The Blue Chip Conference track meet took place over two nights, May 12 and 13, with field events at Northeast Dubois Monday and the running events at North Knox on Tuesday.

Barr-Reeve senior Nolan McCain was the male high point winner with 35 points, while Northeast Dubois junior Adam Dooley earned enough points (24) in the meet to earn All-Blue Chip Conference honors though he was not an event champion.

Seniors Cryus Boyd of Wood Memorial and South Knox’s Kyle Evans, Peyton Duckworth and Zach Woolard all made the All- Blue Chip Conference track team for the third time while South Knox junior Sam Theriac repeated this year as well. Boyd was an All-BCC soccer selection this past Fall and Barr-Reeve’s Alton Klopfenstein and Pierce Yoder ran their way onto the All-BCC cross country team in the Fall as did SK’s Woolard and Theriac.

Northeast Dubois’ Dooley earned the rare distinction of making his third All-Blue Chip Conference team of the school year as his track honors followed his cross country and basketball honors.
