The Blue Chip Conference played their 55th conference golf tournament on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at Country Oaks Golf Course in Montgomery, IN. Tee times began at 8:00 AM and on a brisk but nice morning, eight conference schools with a full complement of players attacked the course with the aim of taming it to claim the team championship while possibly earning individual accolades in the form of All-Blue Chip Conference honors to be bestowed upon the twelve golfers with the lowest scores.

Barr-Reeve completed a three-peat in claiming the team crown, winning their fifth title overall with a score of 310. Loogootee, the last school to win the title (2023) before the Vikings began their current streak, was team runner-up with a score of 330. Third place South Knox shot a combined 332 finishing right behind the Lions.

Barr-Reeve junior Cameron Knepp earned his second straight medalist honors with a 75, narrowly edging out sophomore teammate Lincoln Miller and South Knox junior Jordan Allen who each shot a 76. These three were joined on the 2026 All-Blue Chip Conference team by Loogootee junior Brendan Green, SK junior Alex Harting, North Knox sophomore Jayden Hatfield and BR junior Lincoln Wagler who all carded 77s. Others who earned All-Blue Chip Conference golf honors were Loogootee senior Paxton Arvin (82), Loogootee junior Noah Hager (82), Northeast Dubois junior Jacob Hughes (82), BR senior Brady Wagler (82) and Isaac Knepp, a BR senior who shot an 85.

Loogootee’s Arvin made the All-Blue Chip Conference golf team for the fourth time. As noted, Cam Knepp of Barr-Reeve repeated as medalist and also earned All-BCC honors for the third time. Other three-time honorees include South Knox’s Allen and Harting and Barr-Reeve’s Lincoln Wagler and Isaac Knepp. Loogootee’s Green, North Knox’s Hatfield, Northeast Dubois’ Hughes and Barr-Reeve’s Brady Wagler all made the All-Blue Chip Conference golf team for the second time, while Hager of the Lions made it for the first time.

The golf title was Barr-Reeve’s fourth boys team sports title this school year following titles in cross country, tennis and basketball. They also currently are assured no less than a tie for first place in baseball with one game remaining on their conference schedule, a May 11 (today) match-up with Wood Memorial.
