2022

Highlights on the season included Kaden Newton, a senior at Wood Memorial, tying a nine-year old conference record for goals in a game with 7. Also, Barr-Reeve competed in varsity soccer for the first time.

South Knox earned their fourth straight and fifth in eight years conference championship, going 6-0-1 on the season, tying conference runner-up Washington Catholic 2-2. These two teams met in the sectional championship with SK coming out on top.

SK coach Tim Goodwin announced the 2022 season would be his last leading the Spartans and he wrapped up a stellar 11-year career that included seven sectional championships and five Blue Chip Conference titles.

Repeat selections on the All-Blue Chip Soccer team include Dakota Candler, Jackson Hoops and Jackson Thomas of South Knox, Sean Babrick and Bronson Bryant of Washington Catholic, Kaden Newton of Wood Memorial and Tommy Herman of Vincennes Rivet. Candler is also a two-time All-BCC selection in basketball. Hoops is a two-time All-BCC track athlete. Herman was an All-BCC baseball player last Spring.
